| Over the years the input we
received from striper fishermen proved invaluable when we proceeded to
upgrade the original Hyper Striper. Fishermen wanted a better finish, a
sharper and stronger hook, a better working swivel, and more flash from
the blade. Although very hard, epoxy tends to chip and the spray painting process sometimes affects the performance of the swivels. In order to improve the finish and make it more durable, we switched from epoxy to powder coating. This had an added benefit of helping the environment. Under our new powder coating process the swivels are added after the coating is completed which hel  ped them turn at much slower speeds. The
flash and vibration of the blade was greatly enhanced with the change to
the Olympic blade. The new Ultra Point black nickel hook was stronger, sharper and had a bigger bite. Local guides testing the changes had high praise for the hook. When Gayle Julian of Jewel Bait showed us samples of a new silicone skirt a supplier had sent him, we began to think about another line of Hyper Striper jigs. After thorough testing there was no doubt, we had to add the Premium Hyper Striper to our lineup. We needed a new package that would highlight the product and take up less space per SKU. A two pack clam, that was new to dealers, proved to be the perfect choice.
